To express the movie quote “clothed in blue robes, descending on a golden field,” the see-through screwdown caseback is gold ion plated and printed with a scene suggesting coexistence with nature. In a special blue to match the color of Nausicaä’s dress, the enamel dial is also adorned with her unique symbol adornment. Another character, the giant insect Ohmu, is represented by a silhouette on the underside of the strap, with the blue cabochon crown recalling his eyes. This exquisite watch is equipped with a 24-jewel automatic movement which beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, with an approximately 72-hour power reserve and manual winding capability.
